Submission of Abstracts

The deadline for submission of abstracts for a poster presentation is April 3, 2002.  Prepare your ABSTRACT on standard 11 inch X 8.5 inch paper and leave margins of at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all four sides.  The maximum length of the ABSTRACT is 2 pages. Type the title in capital letters but do not underline. Then type the author(s) name(s) in lowercase letters and the full address of the institution where the work was done. Underline the name of the author presenting the talk or poster. Type your abstract using a 12 pitch Times New Roman or similar font and use single spacing.  Please send your ABSTRACT as a MS Word document or in Rich Text Format (*.doc or *.rtf) as an e-mail attachment to the address: plas2002@pitt.edu.  Please save the ABSTRACT using the last name of author presenting the talk or poster.  If you are submitting more than one abstract, please save them with the presenting author’s last name followed by numericals 1, 2, 3 etc.  If it is not possible to submit your ABSTRACT through e-mail, please send a laser- or jet-print of your ABSTRACT via mail to Dr. Saleem Khan, Plasmid Biology 2002, Department of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Room East 1240 Biomedical Science Tower, Pittsburgh, PA 15261, USA.  Abstract submission is not a requirement for attending the meeting and we encourage participation from all scientists interested in any area of plasmid biology, broadly defined.    Poster boards, overhead and slide projectors as well as Power Point Data Projectors will be available.  Please indicate your preference for an oral or poster presentation on the TOP LEFT CORNER of YOUR ABSTRACT.
